The Alps

Take a deep breath. Experience nature.

Location

The Alps stretch through Italy, France, Switzerland and Germany.

In the summer people come to the alps to paraglide, bike and sightsee. The alpine lakes are fun to swim in but are usually freezing, and the Tour De France takes place on the 6th of July to the 28th of July. You can also go rafting, mountain biking, stand up paddleboarding and rock climbing.

In winter people come to snowboard, ski and toboggan. One of the special features of French alps is the giant Tyrolean zip wire. Which is situated in the ski resort of Orcières in the Southern French Alps, at an altitude of 2665m. It is one of the longest and fastest zip wires in Europe and it is the only one open in the winter season( this zip line is also available during the summer).

In the French Alps, you can also go husky dog sledding. They are perfectly adapted to work in the snow with their thick coats, massive strength and stamina and can go for kilometres pulling sledges through snow. This experience amazing and not something you would want to miss out on!
